“Singin’ in the Rain” in Sunny Southern California!

Award-winning musical to open Friday, November 30th at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA.

Come on with the rain, and watch HOOLIGAN Theatre Company open their fourteenth season with the renowned stage adaptation of one of the greatest musical films of all time— Singin’ in the Rain. HOOLIGAN will be performing this timeless and beloved piece on November 30th and December 1st in UCLA’s Freud Playhouse.

Based on the 1952 film, “Singin’ in the Rain” follows the silent-film star Don Lockwood as he struggles to find his voice in the contemporary world of “talkies.” With a leading lady whose voice is better suited for silence, Don attempts to navigate the entertainment industry in the wake of silent film’s demise.

“Singin' in the Rain is a wonderfully happy and funny show and we are so excited to bring its joy to the UCLA campus! We hope that our show has the chance to brighten someone's day-- either through the never-ending run of campy jokes or the magnificent dance numbers,” said HOOLIGAN’s Executive Producers Kiara Bryant and Olivia Crawford. “Singin' in the Rain is full of talent, laughs and a heartwarming story of a group of friends just trying to make it in Hollywood.”

Singin’ in the Rain will run from November 30st to December 1st at The Freud Playhouse, UCLA. Tickets are available through the UCLA Central Ticket Office at (310)-825-2101 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. General admission is $30, groups of 6 or more are $23, non-UCLA students with ID are $15, UCLA Alumni, Faculty and Staff tickets are $25, and UCLA students enter free. Student tickets will be limited to one free ticket per Bruincard.
